Rooftop Owners To Host Wrigleyville Neighbors Appreciation Night

(CBS) In an attempt to garner favor with the residents of Wrigleyville, the rooftop owners are hosting an appreciation night for neighborhood residents.

The event is being build as an "opportunity to tour the Rooftop businesses yourself and hear from a diverse group of Wrigleyville neighbors about their commitment to their community."

The Cubs and the rooftop owners are currently at odds as the team is attempting to renovate Wrigley Field in a way that may inhibit some of the rooftops' views of the field, essentially breaching a 20-year revenue-sharing contract agreed upon in 2004.

The Cubs are looking to add signage and a large electronic scoreboard in the outfield. The appreciation night will take place on Wednesday, April 10 as the Cubs take on the Brewers at 7:05 pm.

"Hundreds of Wrigleyville residents will be enjoying food, friends and a complimentary baseball game from one of the most unique perspectives in the country to watch America's pastime," the Wrigleyville Rooftop Association said in a statement.
