Fire At Wheaton North High School Disrupts Classes

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A small fire in a classroom disrupted classes at Wheaton North High school on Thursday.

Wheaton District 200 spokeswoman Erica Loiacono said classes are expected to resume this morning.

"This morning, before school started, there was a small fire, localized to one of the science labs," she said. "It occurred when a teacher was setting up a lab this morning. No students were in the classrooms."

The fire was put out by the sprinkler system.

As students arrived at school, they were sent to the field house while the fire department completed their work.

Classes held in the area where the fire broke will be relocated.

No one was hurt, and the origin of the fire remains under investigation
