Man Critically Wounded In Longwood Manor Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was critically wounded in a shooting Saturday in the South Side Longwood Manor neighborhood.
The shooting occurred about 1 p.m. in the 200 block of West 97th Street, said police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss.
A 28-year-old man was taken in critical condition to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park with a gunshot wound to the back.
Area South detectives are investigating.
