5 Seriously Injured In SW Side Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Five people were seriously injured in a crash early Sunday in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood.

The crash happened at 5:40 a.m. at South Kedzie and South Archer avenues, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Five patients, four in critical condition and one in serious condition, were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and Saint Anthony Hospital, fire media said.

A vehicle hit a tree and building, according to unconfirmed dispatch reports.

No further details were immediately available.
