CHICAGO (STMW) – A man was shot Saturday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The victim was shot during a domestic dispute about 10:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 83rd Street, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

The man, 51, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken in “stable” condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Mirabelli said. Police originally stated that the man was 52 years old and was shot in the head and torso.

Police are talking to a person of interest, Mirabelli said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
