(CBS) – Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been formally charged in the Boston Marathon bombings, according to CBS News.

Tsarnaev, 19, was arraigned in his bed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Monday.

A magistrate judge went to the hospital to conduct the initial appearance.

According to The Associated Press, Tsarnaev is charged with using and conspiring to use weapon of mass destruction.
