Teenager Killed In Crash In Minooka

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A teenager was killed in a crash that injured four others on Sunday in Minooka.

Elizabeth Daniels, 15, was sitting in the back seat of an Infiniti when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at McLindon Road and U.S. 6. Their car, which was traveling north on McLindon, was T-boned by a Honda Civic.

Another girl who was sitting next to Daniels was seriously injured.

The driver, Patrick O'Connell, 17, and the front seat passenger were treated and released.

The driver of the Civic was also injured but the extent of her injuries was not known.

O'Connell was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and no insurance.

Police said there are no immediate indications drugs or alcohol factored in the crash.
