Motorcyclists Injured In Chicago Lawn Squad Car Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were injured when a motorcycle crashed into a Chicago Police squad car early Sunday in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
The squad car was parked when the motorcycle rear-ended it about 12:45 a.m. at South Western Avenue and West 71st Street, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Both the 40-year-old man driving the motorcycle and his passenger, a 22-year-old woman, were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Greer said. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in "stable" condition early Sunday.
No officers were injured.
Police believe that either drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
