Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car In Lyons

LYONS, Ill. (STMW) — A man died Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle in west suburban Lyons.

The man, 69, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and 39th Street in Lyons, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 10:32 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. His identity was being withheld Saturday morning pending notification of his family.

Lyons police were not immediately available to comment on the incident Saturday morning.
