(STMW) – A woman was hit by a train Thursday afternoon in the South Side Pullman neighborhood.

The train struck the woman about 4:30 p.m. near West 115th and South State streets, according to Fire Media Affairs.

She was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, fire media said.

She is the second person struck by a train in Pullman this week. Eddie Campbell, 60, was struck and killed Monday by an Amtrak train near West 116th and South State streets, authorities said. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office ruled his death a suicide.
