Bulls Draft Pick Nikola Mirotic Named MVP Of Spanish League

(CBS) Chicago Bulls draft pick Nikola Mirotic has been named the MVP of Spain's professional basketball league, the ACB League.

Mirotic, 22, is now the youngest MVP in ACB history.

The 6-foot-10 power forward earned MVP honors after averaging 12.6 points and 5.5 rebounds this season as Real Madrid earned a 30-4 record to win the league by four games. Mirotic shot 50.5 percent overall and 43.5 percent from three-point land, while shooting 80.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Drafted by the Bulls with the 23rd pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Mirotic will likely leave Spain for the NBA in 2014, due to his contract with Real Madrid and the rookie wage scale.
