Mount Prospect Man Falls To Death From Albany Park Roof

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Mount Prospect man fell to his death from a roof in Albany Park Friday afternoon.

About 5 p.m., the man was working on a building in the 4400 block of North Bernard Street when he fell, authorities said.

He was identified as Alfons Dzieszuta, 55, of the 100 block of Bonnie Brae Avenue in Mount Prospect, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 5:38 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

His death appeared to be a workplace accident, the medical examiner's office said. An autopsy to determine his cause of death was scheduled for later Saturday.

Area North detectives are investigating.
