Girl, 15, Shot In West Pullman

(STMW) -- A 15-year-old girl was shot Monday night in the West Pullman neighborhood in an alleged gang dispute involving her boyfriend, Chicago Police said.

The teen was shot about 5:20 p.m. near 117th Street and Wentworth, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said. She was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in good condition.

Police said the girl was at her boyfriend's home when someone ran up to the porch where they were sitting and shot her, according to a preliminary report. Police think the boyfriend had been in a feud with a rival gang member and was the intended target.

No in was in custody Sunday night. Police said witnesses were not cooperating with the investigation. Area South detectives were investigating.
