Man Struck And Killed By Taxi In Garfield Ridge
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was killed when he was struck by a taxi Monday night in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood near Midway International Airport.
Police said the man was crossing Cicero Avenue near Archer Avenue at about 11:30 p.m., when a cab headed south on Cicero struck him.
The man, believed to have been in his 50s, was pronounced dead in the scene.
The man was not crossing the street at a crosswalk, and the taxi driver was not issued any traffic citations or criminal charges, police said.taxi
