Man Rescued From Lake Michigan In Uptown

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Firefighters rescued a male from Lake Michigan early Thursday in the North Side Uptown neighborhood.

The male was pulled out of the water in the 5100 block of North Simonds Drive at 4:10 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The male climbed out of the water using a ladder with the assistance of firefighters, Greer said.

He was hospitalized at Weiss Memorial Hospital, Greer said.
