$1M Bond For Man Charged After Prostitution Sting

(LANSING, Ill. (STMW) — Bond was set at $1 million Saturday for a man after an underage girl was involved in prostitution at a hotel in south suburban Lansing.

Guillaume Thomas, 22, of Dolton, was charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and trafficking in persons, according to Cook County Sheriff’s police.

Sheriff deputies and Lansing police conducted a sting operation Wednesday at a Lansing hotel and learned that Thomas was involved with the prostitution of an underage girl who responded to an ad on Backpage.com placed by undercover officers, according to the sheriff’s police.

The girl was reunited with her family and referred for services through the sheriff’s Women’s Justice Programs.

Thomas is scheduled to appear June 4 in a Markham courthouse.
