CHICAGO (CBS) -- An employee at Lake Forest High School has been charged with having illegal sexual relationships with two female students, police said Friday.

Benjamin Davidson, 30, of North Chicago has been charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and child pornography, according to a news release from the Lake Forest Police Department.

Davidson, who was the theatre manager at the high school, allegedly engaged in sex acts and in some case took pictures of a sexual nature, with two teenagers, police said.

Davidson managed a staff of student volunteers who worked to provide support for the school's dramatic performances.

In late March, Lake Forest High School officials received a complaint about Davidson's conduct from the parent of a student.

Davidson, employed by the school since May 2008, immediately resigned when school officials spoke with him about the complaint.

A three month investigation found that Davidson had inappropriate and explicit text conversations of a sexual nature with students, police said.

In some cases, he described sex acts he completed with those students.
