Three Hurt In Lawndale Fire

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three people were hurt -- one critically -- in a fire in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood early Saturday.

The fire started just before 4 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Millard Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.

One man was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Fire Media Affairs said. A female of an unknown age was taken in fair-to-serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

A third person was hurt but refused medical treatment, officials said.

Details on how the fire started were not immediately available.
