Five Hurt In Lawndale Rollover Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) — Five people were hurt when a vehicle clipped a parked car, then rolled over Saturday night in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.
A 2001 Ford Explorer SUV was traveling east when it struck the rear of a parked 1998 GMC pickup truck and rolled over about 10 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Cermak Road, police said.
The 37-year-old male driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with a fractured arm and head injuries, police said.
Three men inside the SUV– ages 48, 37, 63– were taken with minor injuries to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and Mount Sinai, police said.
The 63-year-old male driver of the parked GMC was hospitalized at Stroger, police said.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
