Bears Sign DT Sedrick Ellis To 1-Year Deal

(CBS) The Bears agreed to terms with defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis on a one-year contract today, the team announced.
The 6-1, 307-pound Ellis started all 70 games played over five seasons in New Orleans after being selected by the Saints in the first round (seventh overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft out of USC.
The 28-year-old Ellis recorded 174 tackles (99 solo), 12.5 sacks, 13 pass break ups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery during his time with the Saints. In 2012, Ellis started all 16 games for New Orleans, collecting 36 tackles and a pass break up.
