2013 Chicago Area July 4th Fireworks Shows

Are you looking for a place to watch fireworks in the Chicago area?

Here is a list of options for 2013:

Antioch will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 on the river between L and G streets.

Arlington Heights will launch a fireworks show the evening of July 4 at the Arlington Park Race Track, 2200 Euclid Avenue.

Aurora will have a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, and can be visible at Wilder Promenade, McCullough Park and RiverEdge Park.

Bartlett will have a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, in Apple Orchard Park.

Barrington will have fireworks at dusk on July 4, in downtown Barrington by the North Train Commuter Lot. The fireworks are most viewable from the lawn of Barrington High School.

Beecher will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Fireman's Park, 673 Penfield St.

Bensenville will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, at the Redmond Recreational Complex on Jefferson Street.

Bolingbrook will have a fireworks show starting at dusk on July 4, at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.

Buffalo Grove will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 at the Village.

Burbank will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on June 29 at Michael Looney Park.

Burr Ridge will have a fireworks show at dusk on July 3, in Walker Park.

Carol Stream will have a fireworks show from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on July 4, Carol Stream Town Center Gazebo.

Cary will have a fireworks show at dusk on July 3 at Lions Park.

Channahon is hosting a fireworks show at Community Park at 9:15 p.m. Before the fireworks, there will be a parade, dunk tank, face painting, and a bean bag tournament, starting at 5 p.m.

Chicago will launch a fireworks show at Navy Pier on July 3 at 9:30 p.m. and on July 4 at 9:30 p.m.

Chicago Heights will have a fireworks display on July 3 at 9 p.m. at the soccer field at Bloom High School.

Clarendon Hills will have fireworks on July 4 around 9:30 at Hinsdale Golf Club, 140 Chicago Ave. The display is best viewed from Prospect Park.

Crystal Lake will feature a fireworks concert on July 7 at Crystal Lake Main Beach.

Deerfield will launch a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. on July 3 in Brickyards Park.

Downers Grove will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at 75th Street and Lemont Road.

Elk Grove Village will have fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m. on July 4, in Lions Park.

Evanston will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 at Clark Street Beach east of downtown.

Evergreen Park: Independence Day parade at 6:30 on July 3, following by fireworks at dusk at Duffy Park.

Frankfort will have a fireworks show at dusk on July 4 in Main Park.

Fox Lake There will be fireworks over Fox Lake around 9:15 on July 6.

Fox River Grove will launch a fireworks show at dusk on July 6 at Picnic Grove Park.

Geneva The Kane County Cougars minor league baseball team will have a postgame fireworks show on July 4, following their 6:30 p.m. game at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, on Kirk Road, south of Roosevelt Road.

Glenview will host a Twilight Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Glenview Park Golf Club at 800. Shermer Road on July 4 and a fireworks show will follow the concert.

Glenwood will have a fireworks display at dusk on July 4 at Glenwoodie Golf Course.

Highland Park will launch a fireworks show at 9 p.m. on July 4 at Wolters Field, 1080 Park Ave West.

Hoffman Estates will launch a fireworks show beginning at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway. Hoffman Estates combined with the City of Elgin, Hanover and Hanover Township.

Homer Glen will have firework at 9:30 June 20. The viewing area for the fireworks will be on the Township Sports Field, located behind the township offices.

Itasca will have a fireworks show between 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. on July 4 at Hamilton Lakes near Thorndale Avenue and Interstate 355. They will also have live music before the fireworks show, starting at 6 p.m.

Joliet will have fireworks display about 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Joliet Memorial Stadium, 3000 W. Jefferson St. There also will be fireworks after the Joliet Slammers baseball games at Silver Cross Field on July 3-4.

Lake Forest will have a fireworks show at 9:40 p.m. on July 4, at Deerpath Community Park.

Lake Zurich will have fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m. on July 4, in Paulus Park.

Lansing will have a fireworks display at dusk on July 4 at Lan-Oak Park.

Lemont will have fireworks at dusk on July 3 at Centennial Park.

Libertyville will have fireworks at dusk on July 4, in Butler Lake Park.

Lincolnshire will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, in the Village of Lincolnshire.

Lockport will have fireworks at dusk on July 3, in Dellwood Park.

Lombard will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Madison Meadow Park.

Midlothian will have fireworks at 9:40 p.m. on June 28 at Memorial Park.

Momence (Kankakee County): July 4 at dusk at Island Park.

Morton Grove fireworks, as part of Morton Grove Days, take place at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at dusk in Harrer Park.

Mount Prospect will launch a fireworks show at dusk July 4 and 7 in Melas Park on Central and Busse Roads.

Mundelein will have a fireworks show at approximately 9:30 p.m. July 4, in Kracklauer Park.

Naperville will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 in Knoch Park.

Oak Brook will have fireworks at dusk on July 3 at Polo Grounds off of 31st Street between Spring and York Roads

Oak Forest will feature a fireworks show the evening of July 4 as part of the 25th Annual Oak Festival at 159th Street and Central Avenue.

Oak Lawn will launch a fireworks show at dusk on July 4 at Richards High School.

Oak Park is launching fireworks at 10:02 p.m. on July 13 at the stadium of Oak Park-River Forest High School, East Avenue and Lake Street.

Orland Hills will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on June 29 at Kelly Park.

Orland Park will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. July 4 in Centennial Park.

Oswego is shooting off fireworks at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Prairie Point Community Park, 4120 Plainfield Road.

Palatine will host a fireworks show starting at dusk on July 5 as part of the city's Hometown Fest.

Palos Heights will launch a fireworks show on July 3 starting at 9:15 p.m. on Lake Katherine.

Park Ridge will launch a fireworks show the evening of July 3 at Maine East High School at the intersection of Dempster Street and Potter Road.

Pingree Grove will have fireworks at dusk on July 6. Other events, including a parade and car show, start at 4 p.m. at the baseball fields near Cambridge Lakes Dr. and Wester Blvd.

Plainfield will have fireworks the evening of July 3 at Plainfield High School.

Rolling Meadows will launch a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Salk Park on Pheasant Drive.

Romeoville will have fireworks at 9:15 p.m. July 3, at Village Park on Romeo Road.

Roselle will launch fireworks at dusk on July 5 at Lake Park High School West.

Round Lake will have a dusk fireworks show at Round Lake Beach on July 4.

Schaumburg will have fireworks at dusk July 4, at Boomers Stadium.

Skokie has a July 4 party at Niles West High School on Oakton Street from 5 p.m. until dusk, with a 3D fireworks show at dusk.

St. Charles will have a fireworks show at dusk July 4 that can be viewed from Pottowatamie Park or Ferson Creek Park.

Streamwood's fireworks display is set for 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Dolphin Park, located at 880 S. Park Blvd.

Tinley Park will launch a fireworks show beginning at 9:15 p.m. July 4 in McCarthy Park on South 80th Avenue.

Warrenville will hold a parade and fireworks show July 4 in the Cerny Park as part of a two-day July 4th celebration that starts Tuesday, July 3. The fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m. July 4.

The Wauconda Park District is hosting fireworks display on July 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Cook Park.

Waukegan will have a fireworks shows at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, at the Waukegan lakefront area.

Wilmette will launch a fireworks shows at 9:30 p.m. on July 3 at Gillson Park at Lake and Michigan Avenues.

Woodridge will have a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, at the Zigfield Troy Golf Course.

Wheaton will have a fireworks show at dusk on July 3 at Graf Park.

Wilmington will have fireworks beginning after dark on June 29, in North Island Park.

Vernon Hills will have fireworks at 9:30 p.m. July 4, in Century Park.

Zion will have a fireworks shows at 9:30 p.m. July 4, in Shiloh Park.

Northwest Indiana

LaPorte, Ind. will host a fireworks display beginning at dusk July 4 at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds.

Crown Point, Ind. is launching a fireworks show starting at dusk July 4 at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

East Chicago, Ind. is launching a fireworks show beginning at dusk July 3 off the boardwalk of the East Chicago Marina.

Merrillville, Ind. will launch a fireworks show starting at dusk July 3 at Hidden Lake Park.

Schererville, Ind. will host a fireworks show beginning at dusk July 3 at Rohrman Park.

Munster, Ind. is hosting a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. July 3 in Centennial Park.

Whiting, Ind. will launch fireworks starting at 10 p.m. July 3 in Whiting Park.

Portage, Ind. is launching fireworks at dusk July 4 in Trumble Field at Willowcreek Middle School.

Valparaiso, Ind. will host a fireworks show beginning at dusk July 4 at Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

Hebron, Ind. is launching fireworks at dusk July 3 on the grounds of Hebron High School.

Chesterton, Ind. will host a fireworks show at dusk on July 5 at 9:15 p.m. at Indiana Dunes State Park. It was originally scheduled for July 2, but was postponed as a result of high waves.
