Two Dead At Sheraton Hotel Downtown

CHICAGO (CBS) – Two people were found dead at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers on Friday in a double suicide, sources said.

The two were inside a room at the hotel, located at 301 E. North Water Street.

Reached by phone, a person at the front desk of the hotel had no comment.

A hotel guest told WBBM Newsradio that police were asking whether he heard gunshots.

A source says the deceased are a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s.

Police are investigating the possibility of double suicide.

There were two guns found in the room.

The couple were found in bed around 4:20 p.m. with what appear to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Further details were not immediately available. The Medical Examiner has been called to the hotel.
