Man Exposes Himself, Tries To Abduct Girl In Marquette Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police have issued an alert to warn residents of the South Side Marquette Park neighborhood of the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl last week.

About 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, the girl was approached by a man who was driving a small, 4-door, black vehicle near the 6300 block of South Albany Avenue, the alert said. He drove up to her, asking for directions, then backed up the vehicle and asked the teen if she wanted to have sex, before exposing himself and driving away.

The man was described as Hispanic, between 30-40 years old with a heavy build, with a light complexion, and a crew cut. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and black pants.

If anyone has any information on this incident they are asked to call Area Central detectives, at (312) 747-8380.
