Several Metra Trains Not Running Monday

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Several Metra trains on the Union Pacific/North Line and the BNSF Railway are not running Monday morning due to manpower and equipment issues.

BNSF inbound train No. 1242, scheduled to depart Aurora at 7:22 a.m., will not operate Monday morning because there was no engineer, Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.

On the Union Pacific/North Line, inbound train No. 310 and outbound train No. 305 will also not run Monday morning due to late arrival of equipment from earlier delays, according to Metra's website.

Train. No. 312 accommodated for about 310 passengers whose trains were cancelled, Miller said.

BNSF trains No. 1234 and No. 1238 will operate as a combined train and were scheduled to depart the Fairview Avenue station about 7:28 a.m., Miller said.
