Adrian Wojnarowski, of Yahoo! Sports and one of the most respected NBA writers, claims Gar Forman and Tom Thibodeau have the worst general manager/coach relationship in the NBA.
Is Forman summoning his inner Jerry Krause? I'm just waiting for John Paxson to enter the room and grab Thibodeau by the shirt. Just make sure Thibodeu's body guard isn't there. Derrick Rose really doesn't like to use his fists. Rose referred to his relationship with the head coach as "super cool."
Forman's relationship with Thibodeau must be super cold!

I'm so glad the Bulls resigned Nazr Mohammad. At least he can stand up to LeBron James and even knock him down!

Gentleman Jim Thome is back.
Did he bring his bat?
This move was inevitable when you consider the close relationship Thome has with Jerry Reinsdorf, who said someday Thome will be a manager.
My calculations have that as being the 2015 season--and for his White Sox.
When you consider great moments in the history of the White Sox, Thome's homer in the ninth inning of the "Black Out Game" has to be in the top 10. Maybe even the top five!
Why aren't there more guys like him?

The last time both the Cubs and Sox lost 90 games in the same season was 1986, the one season Hawk Harrelson was the Sox General Manager. He fired Tony LaRussa (who didn't do too badly for himself), and Dave Dombrowski (who didn't do too badly for himself) . He also traded rookie Bobby Bonilla, who would go on to be a six -time all-star with the Pirates.
You can put it on the board ... NO!
Bonilla eventually turned into a sneering, miserable man who also made out like a bandit. That's because the Mets bought him out in 2000 so he will get an annual check of $1,193,248.20 until 2035! Who was his agent? I'd like to get to know him.

For Cubs fans who don't understand the flurry of moves earlier in the week, just think international and leave it alone. It's hard to use the word patience and Cubs fan in the same sentence but your patience should be rewarded in three to five years.
If you're impatient about a Matt Garza trade, join the club. After his performance at Oakland, his departure should have been yesterday.

Suddenly, Adam Dunn is hitting. We're not talking Miguel Cabrera, but since the beginning of June, his average is up 51 points and he's on pace to hit 44 homers and drive in 110 runs.
I would look very carefully at his no-trade clause and then carefully talk to him about waiving it if the Sox can find a willing suitor.

Why would the Blackhawks not want to have Ray Emery back? All he did was go 17- 1 with 1.94 goals against. And I'll bet he drops fewer F-bombs than Corey Crawford.

Milton Bradley was sentenced to nearly three years in jail for physical attacks and threats against his estranged wife. Cubs General Manager Jim Hendry should be sentenced to see him every week.
