2 Men Push Elderly Woman To Ground, Steal Her Purse

(STMW) – A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information on two men who attacked and robbed a 93-year-old woman as she walked to her northwest suburban church on Sunday.

The elderly victim told police she was walking to the Church of the Nazarene at 1501 S. Linneman Road in Mount Prospect about 6 a.m. Sunday when she struck from behind and knocked to the ground by two men, according to a statement from Mount Prospect police.

The suspects then took her purse and ran away southbound, police said. The victim, a Mount Prospect resident, was treated at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights for a wrist injury.

Police are asking any witnesses of anyone with information to call the department at (847) 870-5656, or make anonymous tips to Mount Prospect Crime Stoppers at (847) 590-7867.

Crime Stoppers tipsters are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
