Police: Teen Boy Shot Dead On West Side

CHICAGO (STMW) — A teenage boy was shot dead Monday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.

The boy, in his teens, was shot in the chest at 5:08 p.m. in the 600 block of North Lawndale Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was declared dead, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody.
