(CBS) — The Chicago Bulls have waived shooting guard Richard “Rip” Hamilton, according to a team release.

Hamilton appeared in 78 games over two seasons with the Bulls and averaged 10.5 points per game and 2.6 assists per game and averaged 22.9 minutes.

Hamilton signed with the Bulls as a free agent on Dec. 14, 2011.
