Blackhawks Sign Stanton To 1-Year Contract
(CBS) The Blackhawks on Tuesday announced the signing of defenseman Ryan Stanton to a one-year contract.
The 23-year-old Stanton made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks this season, recording a +1 plus/minus rating and two penalty minutes. He registered a career-high 22 assists and 25 points in 73 regular-season games with the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs in 2012-13 and ranked third on the club with a career-best +16 rating.
Stanton has recorded 60 points (nine goals and 51 assists) in 224 career games with the IceHogs from 2009 to 2013.
