Lyric Violist Plays Anthem At Her Own Citizenship Ceremony

"Anytime I'm performing it's a special occasion when you get to play for so many people. But to play the National Anthem with so much feeling behind it..."

Carol Cook was born in Scotland 38 years ago. She started playing the violin when she was 3, and the viola when she was 16.

And just recently she won the job of principal violist at Lyric Opera.

"I think I was thinking of my whole journey as a musician from starting as a kid to where it's brought me now...

"It was quite emotional to get to play that."
