Band Death Grips Won’t Play Lolla, Fail To Show Up To Concert Friday
CHICAGO (CBS) — One of the bands that was scheduled to play at Lollapalooza tonight is off bill and last night they failed to show up for another concert in town, resulting in some smashed-up gear, reports WBBM’s Mike Krauser.
The band Death Grips was scheduled to play an after show at the Bottom Lounge but never showed. Video posted on Pitchfork shows fans reacting to the announcement of the cancellation.
Not shown in the video fans of the band according to several reports smashed a drum kit that was on the stage. A photo posted on twitter shows what is claimed to be part of a destroyed drum.
The band was scheduled to play Saturday at 8:45, but have been replaced by snowboarder Shaun White’s band Bad Things. For the latest information on the schedule for Lollapalooza, click here.
