CHICAGO (STMW) -- The husband of a city public health official has been charged with sexually assaulting a teen, authorities said Friday.

Martin McKinney, 40, of the 9600 block of South Longwood Drive, was charged with criminal sexual assault for the alleged 2007 incident, police said.

McKinney is the husband of Suzet McKinney, a deputy commissioner with the Chicago Department of Public Health, according to a source.

The investigation began in April when the assault was reported to police, according to police News Affairs.

McKinney was ordered held on $100,000 in bond court Friday. He is next scheduled to appear in court August 21.
