Bears Nickelback Kelvin Hayden Out For Year

(CBS) Bears nickelback Kelvin Hayden will miss the entire 2013 season with a torn left hamstring.

Hayden, who was listed as the Bears starting nickelback on the depth chart, suffered the injury Saturday and was considered week-to-week.

Last year's sixth-round draft pick Isaiah Frey figures to get the first shot at replacing Hayden.

Last season with the Bears, Hayden played all 16 games with two starts, recording 40 tackles, one interception and four fumble recoveries.

The eight-year veteran previously played with the Colts and Falcons before coming to the Bears last season.

The Bears also confirmed  Earl Bennett suffered a concussion Saturday and will not play in the preseason opener Friday night.

This story is still developing. Please check back for updates.
