Man Seriously Wounded In Ukrainian Village Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was seriously wounded in a Ukrainian Village shooting late Wednesday.

The 20-year-old man was near a park in the 2500 block of West Huron Street when he was shot twice in the chest about 11:26 p.m., police said.

After the shooting, the man's friends drove him to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

Police said the man was uncooperative when investigators tried to find out how he was shot. The 20-year-old had a warrant out for his arrest.

No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated.
