No Bond For Man Charged With Attempted Rape In Gold Coast

CHICAGO (STMW) – Bond was denied Saturday for a man charged with trying to sexually assault a 54-year-old woman early Friday in her Gold Coast home.
Deandre Minor, 28, of the 800 block of West 78th Street, is facing one count each of attempted criminal sexual assault with bodily harm, robbery, and home invasion/sex offense, according to police.
The woman was sleeping in her home in the 1200 block of North Stone Street when she woke up to a man trying to sexually assault her about 3:20 a.m., police said.
A family member intervened and the man ran away, police said. Officers arrested the man as he exited the building.
Bond was denied Saturday for Minor, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office. He is scheduled to appear in court again Monday.
