(CBS) — Only one Illinois village made Money Magazine’s list of the nation’s top 50 small towns and it’s Buffalo Grove, reports WBBM’s Craig Dellimore.
Village President Jeffrey Braiman says he is not surprised Buffalo Grove made Money Magazine’s list of America’s best small towns, but he seems hard-pressed to explain why his village is the only one in Illinois on the list.
“It’s an interesting question. I am not sure what their requirements were for other villages. I know now at least that the entire country realizes what he have known for a long time and that is that it is a great place to live and raise a family. We have got great schools we have got great municipal services,” said Braiman.
He also says there are also lots of green space and little crime but Braiman admits Buffalo Grove does not have a downtown area, not yet anyway. Plans are being considered.
