(CBS) — The Air and Water Show is this weekend with practice was taking place at the Gary Jet Center today, reports WBBM’S Terry Keshner.
Mary May with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events says two million people are expected on the lakefront this weekend, even without the military planes that won’t be here because of budget cuts.
“We’ve got the British Sea Harrier. It’s probably one of the most famous military fighter jets. It actually can hover above the water so it will be a fantastic demonstration by them. We also have the A-4 attack demo,” said Mary.
And the weather this weekend is expected to be just about perfect.
