Son Of Red Sox Broadcaster Faces Murder Charge

BOSTON (CBS) – Jared Remy, the son of Boston Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy, was charged with the murder of his girlfriend in Waltham Friday.
Police were called to a home on Stearns Hill Road in the Windsor Village apartment complex around 10 p.m. Thursday for a report of a person stabbed.
Investigators found 27-year-old Jennifer Martel bleeding heavily from multiple stab wounds outside the home on a patio.
She died a short time later.
Jared Remy, 34, was arrested and charged with her murder.
