CHICAGO (STMW) –Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a 75-year-old man was found dead inside a South Side apartment Friday night.
The man, 75, was found dead about 9:50 p.m. in an apartment in the 5600 block of South Racine Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
An autopsy Saturday determined that Alameen Muhhamad died from blunt force trauma to the head and assault, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
