Bears Sign QB Trent Edwards

(CBS) -- The Chicago Bears have signed veteran QB Trent Edwards to a one-year contract.

Edwards has started 33 games for the Bills, Jaguars, Raiders, and Eagles -- and appeared in a total of 38 games. He has a career passer rating of 75.5, and thrown 26 career touchdown passes and 30 interceptions.

He is the second quarterback the Bears have signed this week after adding Jordan Palmer on Friday.

Edwards was drafted by Buffalo in the third round of the 2007 Draft.

To make room, the Bears have waived WR Jerrrell Jackson.
