Study Shows Bears Have Seventh Most Loyal NFL Fanbase
(CBS) The 2103 NFL season hasn't even started yet, but the Bears are already tops in the NFC North.
Well, sort of.
According to a study done by Emory University, the Bears have the seventh most loyal fanbase in the NFL, good for first in their division.
The study, which takes into account factors such as the teams' box office revenue relative to its success on the field, market population, stadium capacity, median income and other factors, ranked the Cowboys first, Patriots second and Jets third.
In the NFC North after the Bears, the Packers came in 14th, the Vikings 18th and the Lions 28th.
The lowly Raiders ranked dead last, just ahead of the Falcons.
