Blackhawks Sign 2012 First-Round Pick Teravainen

(CBS) The Blackhawks announced today they have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with forward Teuvo Teravainen, the team's first-round selection in the 2012 NHL draft.

Teravainen, 18, ranked fifth on SM-liiga's Jokerit with a career-high 31 points (13G, 18A) in 44 regular-season games in 2012-13.

A Finland native, Teravainen was named the league's rookie of the year in 2011-12 season after posting 18 points (11G, 7A) in 40 games.
