Man Fatally Shot In South Chicago

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was fatally shot in the South Chicago neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

The 33-year-old man was shot in the head about 3:05 p.m. in the 2900 block of East 91st Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.

He was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 4:05 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The medical examiner’s office was not releasing the man’s identity as of Sunday afternoon.

Nobody was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
