Video: White Sox Bench Coach Mark Parent Ejected Before Game Starts

(CBS) White Sox bench coach Mark Parent was ejected before Sunday’s game had even started.

While exchanging lineup cards, Parent was tossed by second base umpire Jerry Layne.

A video replay showed the two in a heated discussion before the ejection.

It’s unclear what exactly Parent was upset over, but manager Robin Ventura shed a little light on the matter:

“Yeah, it was just something from (Saturday) night,” Ventura said. “It’s over, and (you) play.”

The White Sox had several controversial calls go against them in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Rangers.
