CHICAGO (CBS) -- Today's storms didn't stop an immigration rally in front of Congressman Dan Lipinski's office on the Southwest Side.

They braved the pouring rain to make their point: Fix our broken immigration system.
The rally was put together by a group called "Organizing For Action."
Spokesman Victor Herrerra says there's a misconception that giving status immigrants already in the country will drain the economy. He says the opposite is true as he came here at age 13 and has never been on welfare.
"Not only able to maintain a job, but I was able to educate myself. I was able to pay for my school and I am able to pay my taxes.
