Cubs Claim RHP Bard From Boston

(CBS) The Cubs claimed right-handed pitcher Daniel Bard off waivers from the Red Sox.

In a corresponding roster move, the team designated Cole Gillespie for assignment

The 28-year-old Bard is 10-19 with five saves and a 3.67 ERA in 211 appearances, with 10 starts over five seasons.

He has a 3.24 ERA in 201 career relief appearances.
