Man Critically Hurt In Gage Park Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man is in critical condition after he was shot in a gang-related attack early Sunday in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.

The man, 24, was in the 5500 block of South Mozart Street about 3:40 a.m. when someone got out of an SUV and started shooting, police said.

The man was shot multiple times in the back and once in the buttocks, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities said the shooting appears to be gang-related, police said.

No one is in custody early Sunday as Area Central detectives investigate.
