Police Issue Surveillance Photos Of Suspect In Loop Thefts

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are searching for a man suspected of stealing office equipment from two Loop businesses.

The man enters businesses, looks into offices and checks door handles until he finds equipment to steal, according to police.

Robberies happened about 2 p.m. on July 31 in the 300 block of West Adams, and 12:54 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South Riverside Plaza, the alert said.

The suspect is described as a 45-55-year-old black man, 6-foot-3 and 220-240 pounds, and nicely dressed.

Police advise residents to keep doors and windows secured, and reminds victims not to touch anything and call police immediately.
