Man Hospitalized With Leg Wound In Evanston Shooting

EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- A 46-year-old Evanston man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg Sunday in an early morning shooting.

Police responded to a shots fired call about 2:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of Oakton Street, said Cmdr. Jay Parrott, the department's public information officer.

At the site, police located the victim who suffered a wound to the upper right leg, Parrott said.

The victim was treated at St. Francis Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, said Parrott.

Police have no other information at this time.
