Four Wounded In South Side Shootings

(STMW) -- Three men and a teenage boy were shot on the South Side during a bloody hour of gun violence Thursday night.

Two men in their 20s were shot about 6:50 p.m. in the 3800 block of West 57th Place, police said.

One of the men, shot in the abdomen area, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in "stable" condition, police said. The other man suffered a graze wound to the thigh.

The violence began in Englewood, where a teenage boy was shot in the foot about 6:35 p.m. in the 700 block of West 72nd Street, police said. His exact age was not immediately available.

The boy, who told officers he heard shots and felt pain, was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

About 2.5 miles south, a 28-year-old man was shot in the abdomen area in the 5700 block of South Aberdeen Street about 7:15 p.m., police said.
